Beckenham train stabbing: Man charged with attempted murder

Rakeem Thomas will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on 30 March and has been remanded into custody. British Transport Police received reports of two men fighting between Beckenham and Shortlands railway stations at about 16:00 on Wednesday. The victim, in his 20s, is critical but stable in hospital, BTP said.hiloh Hindes, 18, is accused of attempted murder and 16-year-old boy of grievous bodily harm. Previously, four others were charged in connection with the assault. The victim was assaulted on Masons Avenue in Harrow on 10 February. She was later treated in hospital and has since been discharged. At the beginning of March, Summer Betts-Ramsey, 19, was charged with attempted murder and three other teenagers, who cannot be named because of their age, were charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. All of the defendants are due at the Old Bailey on 5 April.Two masked men went into the shop on Sydney Street in Chelsea at about midday on Tuesday, Met Police said.


They smashed counters, threatened staff and hit a man in the back of his head with a hammer.


Three people were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, the force added.
