Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim has flown to London for talks with West Ham, according to CNN Portugal.

It is claimed Amorim took a private jet on Monday afternoon that was arranged by West Ham to meet the club's owners, with Amorim alongside his agent Raul Costa for his trip to England. The Athletic reported earlier on Monday that West Ham have held talks over a move to appoint the 39-year-old if David Moyes leaves the club this summer, with the Scot out of contract at the end of the season.

Another option the Hammers have reportedly assessed is ex-Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui, however Amorim has emerged as the top target.

Amorim has been one of the leading candidates to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, but it is being claimed that a move to Anfield now looks unlikely.

Meanwhile, The Guardian claim West Ham are set to part company with Moyes at the end of the season.

The report says a final decision has not been made on the 60-year-old's future, but Sunday's 5-2 defeat at Crystal Palace has made his departure all but inevitable, while there is an acceptance within the club that a change is needed.
